  41. DOVE-OSCAR-17 (DOVE) Voice Synthesizer Testing Continues
  42.  
  43. At about 11-JUNE-94 05:30 UTC the DOVE Ground Command Team completed a
  44. reload of the DOVE software and activated another voice test.  The pro-
  45. nunciation of the word "Hi" is a bit different and the overall amplitude of
  46. the voice is higher.  The text message is a greeting to those attending the
  47. ARRL Convention and Education Forum.
  48.  
  49. The DOVE Ground Command Team expects to continue the hardware testing pro-
  50. cess while simultaneously proceeding with software development.  It is
  51. expected that this effort will probably last several days to a few weeks
  52. before all the testing and software developement is completed.  There may
  53. be times when the voice message will not be heard due to uploading of new
  54. software.
  55.  
  56. It would be appreciate if reports on how well the voice can be heard with
  57. simple receiving equipment (a H/T with a rubber duck antenna) could be sent
  58. to any of the following individuals who have mail address on INTERNET:

  80. ITAMSAT-OSCAR-26 (IO-26) Status Report
  81.  
  82. After a couple of weeks of being in the stand-by mode, IO-26, under ground
  83. command, was switched back ON.  A new MBL code was successfully loaded to
  84. test the modified s/c configuration (secondary TX on).  Telemetry shows all
  85. the vital parameters in nominal status.   Further tests will be carried out
  86. in the next days.  Also due to the very limited time budget of the command
  87. stations please expect a few weeks before normal operations.

  114. LO-19: LO-19 is on the air but only telemetry is being sent and there are
  115.        are no BBS functions operational.  [WH6I]

  117. KO-23: This bird and KO-25 are very busy at the present time with message
  118.        and file traffic.  There have been a lot of new earth imaging
  119.        files available for down loading on both birds.  The file
  120.        KAIW008D gives a good image of the Italian penninsula in the Med.
  121.       There is also a steady stream of WISP files as ZL2TPO keeps the
  122.       his programing modifications coming.  Also, the program WISP can
  123.        also be found on the BBS.  [WH6I]

  125. AO-16: AO-16 is running strong, the only 1200 baud bird in operation at the
  126.        present time.  [WH6I]

  128. IO-26: IO-26 is sending telemtry, but the BBS is not yet on.  [WH6I]

  131. OSCAR status reports.  If you have a favorite OSCAR which you work on a
  132. regular basis and would like to contribute to this bulletin, please send

  135. area, WD0HHU @ W0LJF.#NECO.CO.USA.NOAM.  Also, if you find that the current
  136. set of orbital elements are not generating the correct AOS/LOS times at
  137. your QTH, PLEASE INCLUDE THAT INFORMATION AS WELL.  The information you
  138. provide will be of value to all OSCAR enthusiasts.
